Sketching with Sketchbook
Working at the ISTE Conference in Philadelphia this past week was a real blast.
Philadelphia is such a vivacious city, full of fun and life. The fine folks at Autodesk asked me to
come in to draw at their conference stand, and I was only too happy to oblige. I’m glad I did,
because I was a big hit and their guests were raving to have me come back for their next event.
Working with Autodesk was something of a learning experience. As opposed to my
normal set of tools and programs, I was using the new Sketchbook Pro tablet suite from
Autodesk. It’s a free program with the option to purchase extra tools for a $24.99 annual
subscription price. When I first drew on an iPad several years ago, it was an Autodesk drawing
program that I used. I must say, I really like what they’ve done with the new system. It’s really
giving my current programs a run for their money.
