I’m back! My client brought my talent back to their conference, #MRS in #Boston to bring back fun for the attendees. A few days before the conference, snow was expected and lots of it, so I decide to take the train.
I am so relieved I made that decision, for Boston was expecting 18 inches of snow and this happened AFTER I arrived, yet I did arrive in Boston as the blizzard began. This meant days of being a shut-in, drawing attendees, eating good Boston food, shopping at the mall at the Prudential center, next to Hynes convention, what a life, right? Well, let’s just say the attendees were really happy to see my return. Take a look at their smiling faces!
On my return trip, my train stopped on the tracks for 5 hours due to an accident with Amtrak, earlier that morning, when a transformer exploded, killing one and injuring 2. My heart and prayers go out to these workers and their families and just a few weeks before Christmas :(.
This was my first time being stranded on a train with food, alcohol and company heading into NYC. I did miss my connecting train in Philly and I was fortunate that my son came to save my day and we arrived at home around 3am that night. Wow, what a journey!
