Something New to Say Thanks for Something New

Caricature design on wood

My husband and I recently saw a longtime desire of ours come to fruition. On our property was a small building called a summer kitchen. When we moved into our home, the summer kitchen was little more than a large storage shed that had fallen into disrepair. This past year, we took on the project of transforming it into a usable living space for my father-in-law. With the expert help of Ebersole Construction of Mount Joy, our once drafty toolshed is now a quaint and welcoming in-law suite.

To say thanks to our project’s foreman, Scott with Ebersole, I chose to create his likeness with media that I rarely get to use – wood. Using digital design, I crafted a piece of wall art of Scott’s caricature as he renovated the summer kitchen. It was a new method for me and proved to be an exciting way for me to expand my craft in a new way.
