It’s not too often that I get to do two events in one day, but that’s exactly what happened this weekend. My colleague, Jon of San Francisco, wasn’t able to draw at NikeTown for a promotional event this weekend as planned, due to illness, so he recommended me for the job. Since I was already heading to New York for John Saunders’ birthday bash, of course I said “yes!” Along with Salah, another digital artist from San Fran, we created caricatures for roughly 50 kids checking out the fun and playing games and sports at NikeTown.
With about an hour left to the event and the kids’ caricatures done, it was time for the staff of Nike to get in on the action. Salah and I were got them all drawn up and put smiles on their faces.
One last thing, a great big “thank you” to Nike for the gift of new shoes and running gear. I’m an avid runner and will be sure to don the new duds on my next trek!
