Yesterday, I drew FUN caricatures for the kids who attend the library program at the Green Ridge Library in Scranton, Pa. Many parents signed their kids to have the chance to have a fun cartoon likeness to take home with them.
For the many years that I have been drawing caricatures, I have always mentioned to the parents that they could photocopy my drawing and allow their child to color their own cartoon with crayons and more. This advice always goes over well with parents. The copies work best when you draw simple B&W line art with no shading.
Thanks you Juli!
Your economy of lines is fantastic!
Thank you Laf!
…and I must of add ‘…and keeping the likeness.’I really haven’t seen many caricature artist achieving this…Simplifying things is so difficult and needs so much work before you can do it… Encore une fois bravo!
Thanks again Laf! Do you have a blog?

After seeing your self-cartoon, I believe I remember that face at the convention.
