Imagine telling someone, “Yeah, I’m here all year…literally!” Well, this was the case on New Year’s Eve!
Scranton (yup, the very home of “The Office” :)) hired me to entertain at their First Night celebration. It was a perfect match, after all, Scranton is the Electric City!
I was located in an office with large windows right on the corner of a main intersection for passerbyers to see (and, appropriately enough, right across the street from The Electric Theater).
For this evening of digital caricatures, I brought my digital projector since I was told the lobby in which I would be drawing had such high ceilings. This would allow the most people to see, both inside and outside!
We wrapped up right at the end of the year (midnight!) and enjoyed the fireworks that were launched from the center of the city. It was a beautiful night, though it was VERY cold outside. But that’s to be expected for a First Night celebration!
A big thank you to Scranton for bringing us in to do the Live Digital Caricatures, and a Happy New Year to everyone for visiting the site!
Here are samples of my theme design:
Happy new year Angie
These look amazing
Look forward to seeing all your new work in 09!
Thanks Niall!
Happy New Year to you, too!
Well done Angie.
I know it’s another peace of cake to make digital cartoons live.
Thanks Hugo! I’m glad you agree, especially from experience. There are too many people who don’t understand this point.
