Scott, his friend Pepka and I paid a visit to the Baltimore Comic Con today. We had a great time, not only seeing the Comic Con, but also just enjoying the beautiful weather at Inner Harbor today. It was simply gorgeous out!

We met many talented artists and bought many books. 🙂 And there were also the frequent photo ops with a few zombies, ninjas, bounty hunters and X-Men! Yes, a good time was had by all.

A nice addition to the day was running into Lar DeSouza at his exhibit. Lar is too kind and we talked about quite a few things. After picking up a few of his books (didn’t know you had THAT many, Lar!) we continued on to a few other booths before heading out for lunch.

We also ran into Ted Tucker drawing caricatures for many eager cartoon enthusiasts!

These conventions really give some humble and talented artists a chance to shine and meet/network with so many others. It is such an empowering feeling to see so many artists with their own comic books out. We are seeing an explosion of creativity in recent years and it’s fun to be on that wave!
