During my all-too-infrequent down time, I enjoy working on projects that challenge my skills and expand my horizons. While my primary area of work is caricature, it is not a far leap to delve into the world of illustration.
While caricature is the art of exaggerating features to give a person or animal a cartoon-like appearance, illustration is the more free-thinking concept of giving an intangible idea a corporeal form. I have work on illustrated children’s book in the past and have been approached to aid the in the creative process of a new one. A previous project, Chips,” is a whimsical story that my husband and I created together.
Find new outlets for my artwork with which to entertain is a wonderful and gratifying experience, as is the thought that my artwork can touch the lives of children and adults from all walks of life.
