Natalie’s Christening

Posted on September 28, 2009

Yesterday I was fortunate to have been invited to entertain at Natalie’s baptism. Her cute face was adorable to turn into a cartoon as her parents watched.

It is always a precious moment when a family baptizes their son or daughter, as it marks such an important moment in their life.

After entertaining with my fun drawings, I congratulated both parents before heading home from upstate New Jersey.

Coincidentally, this was at the same place my husband and I stopped while on our way home from a Live Digital Caricature event in Connecticut a few months ago. And later this week, I’ll be heading back to New Jersey for another caricature event! One of these days I’ll stop to catch my breath, but it might not be until next year at this pace!

Grace’s 1st Birthday Party!

Posted on September 27, 2009

South of Lancaster, I entertained and drew caricatures for Grace’s first birthday party. The cold rainy day brought us inside to all the food, fun and party guests.

I had a really fun time drawing many of the young toddlers, along with Grace with her cupcake (it was a cupcake theme). Later, the adults had a chance for a funny caricature. Thank you Brooke!

Unfortunately, I left my camera at my son’s apartment when I visited him at State College, so I had to use my iphone for these pics. They are a bit grainy, but, hey, it still gets the job done. I’m off to New Jersey today for another event!

The Perfect Anniversary Gift!

Posted on September 25, 2009

I recently had a happy returning client request “another” digital caricature rush order to have a special gift for their parent’s anniversary party this Saturday.

This was designed for a “classy” couple who seems to have everything and I wanted to put much effort into creating something unique and special.
Not only will they remember the things they love doing together, but they will have something to hang on their wall for a long time. This is a perfect anniversary gift, or any gift for that matter.

Here is my client’s reply.
“I love it! You always surprise me. :) I’m viewing it on my blackberry but I’ll take another look from my pc when I get it fired up. I think they are going to love it, and you totally captured them! ”

Greg Cickavage was my Facebook winner for a free digital caricature for the month of September. He is a professional surveyor in the state of Oregon.

This was started in Painter X and finished by using Photoshop CS3.

I will be picking a winner for October tomorrow evening. Stay Tooned!
