It’s quite sad to know that this gorgeous baby girl died of SIDS. I was asked by my client to draw her as an angel for her mother. Isn’t she so precious?

When I filmed my first video about my experience of being the world’s first iPad Caricature artist, I had no idea how popular the video would become. It had thousands of views in the first few days. So I did another video.
Those videos now have (combined) over 100,000 views! Totally viral!
Well the news keeps snowballing. There is an incredible thread in the ISCA forum (a forum for professional caricature artists) that I started months ago that now has contributions with tips from artists from around the world. The artwork is phenomenal and it’s exciting to see how other artists are using the iPad to create!
Finally, ComputerWorld recently wrote an article on “6 Reasons the iPad is a Productivity Tool” and to my surprise, I’m reason number 5!
This is an exciting new genre of artwork. The last ‘generation’ of digital artists (myself included) used and still use Cintiq tablets. Now we can use touch screens the size and shape of a notepad. Exciting times. I can’t wait to see what’s introduced in another year or two!

Gift Caricatures. Any Group can afford one!

Here is another gift caricature I created this week for a retirement gift. The office team decided to chip in and have their boss created into a fun cartoon.
This person is retiring from a bank and he spent most of his life as a fire fighter and computer programmer.
I emailed my client instructions on how to take or email my cartoon digital file to one of their local print shops and purchase a very reasonable color photo copy. I also mentioned on how to matte the photo and make a signature board to have the office sign the board and present it to their boss in a frame.
This type of gift is very affordable to a group who is looking to present a gift caricature to anyone who is retiring, moving on to another job or state, having a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduating school or college and much more!

Three Daughters celebrate August Birthdays!

Yesterday, I was part of a fun outdoor birthday event for three daughters. Would you believe my client’s daughters were all born in August within the same week of their birth dates? How neat! AND they are all Leo’s just like me. Cong-r-r-rats! 
I only took a few photos. Many of the kids would not sit still for a photo and I don’t blame them. They had a trampoline of fun to jump into and join all the other younger kids at the party.
