I just created a new header, but I’m not sure if you need to refresh my page to view it!
A new doo, deserves a new cartoon! And yes the cartoon above has been pixelated by design!
(I am always trying new hairdos and hair coloring that I constantly have to keep up with the changes of my self-cartoon- LOL!)
This past summer I became a member of the Frackville Historical Society to help restore the town that carries many memories of my childhood. The society honored my father and uncles,
, last spring and that is the time I had learned about the existence of this society.
Our town is in desperate need of attention, so I decided to join the committee and help build the city back to life again!
Scott and I started the design of the website and front page is up and running. We hope to have more, as time moves on, and we will be setting up a Paypal Donation to help our city. Keep checking in! Thanx! Here is link:
I just created 2 new websites, within a few months, but my live digital caricatures is my most recent and is still under construction (actually…both are being tankered with). Gee, can you tell the sites were designed by same artist? LOL! Also, my video will be updated, as well, with my newest live digital samples and more, so I’m hoping to post this soon. However, I have a recent huge, heavy drawing project order this month, so I hope to keep up with my personal stuff, including website, while I have this project finished for Client’s deadline due date!
Gosh, I really dislike my face with glasses/stringy hair in this video, but what can I do? I’ll have to have Scott replace with new, as we take more footage in future!
I had Scott do a 3D Lightwave of my comic character (created in video). His name is “Ike”, (the yellow icon in video- (he is copyrighted), and you shall see more of him in my comic stories, to come, on my new website.
As many of you know, I use a large touch screen monitor (called a Cintiq) hooked up to my Macbook laptop.
I am hired to entertain at corporate events with the Cintiq and Macbook. While at these high-end events as part of the entertainment, we set it up to project a live feed from my computer onto a giant screen. Then I print out the finished artwork and give it to the person drawn.
Just for fun, I recorded the Cintiq screen while drawing someone. What you see above is exactly what they see up on the digital projector screen (though I did speed up the video just for fun!).
Let us know what you think! It’s been such a hit at these corporate events. Everyone loves watching their co-workers being drawn and instead of a herd of people struggling to see the me drawing, they can laugh and see their friends being drawn from anywhere in the convention or conference room!
Well, I finally made time to finish a color digital in Photoshop! Earlier in blog, I showed you this same design in a sketch with me and my brothers, so I decided to finish a new me for business. Since I seem to change my appearance often, (with cutting or dying hair, new glasses), I try to keep up with a cartoon that will match!
Scott and I went on a Carribean Cruise, last March, and we had a wonderful, talented cruise director, named Nick Weir, (he’s from Australia). Of course, I drew caricature aboard the cruise line. Anyway, Nick ran from my camera, as I tried to take a photo of him, so I could draw his cartoon. He claimed he did NOT want a caricature, that he hates those things! He was very comical on the way he ran from my camera, too. At a later time, I was asked to draw the captain, from a photo, and lo-and-behold…there was Nick in the photo, with the captain. So…me being sneaky as I am,drew a Cartoon for Nick and sent it to his cabin. Later, he called my cabin and said, “He was VERY Surprised by it and absolutely LOVED it! He said he always witnessed caricatures being ugly…yadayadayada…and was afraid to ever get his done! A few weeks later, when I returned home, he emailed me and asked if I could draw the “same cartoon I did of him,” into one of my digital designs. Well….Here it is!!!! Nick was overjoyed with my finishing touch and wants to use it for his website, tinyurl.com/g74bd I cerainly don’t mind that he uses this for business, cuz I really like this guy (he’s tall and handsome, but…I’m married ’snaps fingers’ Dang it!)BUT he will sell my cartoon work for sure!!! (Like I need the work! Doh! What I do?)LOL!!!!
I love doing illustration work and created this 2 years ago and did a few other people in this style, EXCEPT me. It’s time to finish one of me in this neat style I created! Coming soon - I hope! At the time of design, I studied Hirshfeld and learned so much, (the MAN’s work is brilliant, he’s a genius!) I can’t even compare to Hirsh, but I DO LOVE the style I accomplished!
