I was so busy last week that it slipped my mind to post these photos from last week (drawing with a few art friends)! Notice how we are all wearing black? Ugh-bad hair day for me!

I just got back home after a long (and fun) day in Delaware. I was hired to entertain with my Live Digital Caricatures in the Hospitality Village (a special VIP section) at the Dover International Speedway, also known as The Monster Mile!

The Hospitality Village was setup at the speedway for the Nascar sponsors (you know all those labels on the race cars? Those sponsors!) Scott and I had a great time drawing the sponsors prior to the start of the race.

We arrived early (as in, the-stars-are-still-out-early) to setup and believe it or not, the tailgaters had already started setting up in the parking lot! It sure was a cold early morning in the photo of me, below, but I certainly warmed up in no time with bursts of laughter and very nice people surrounding me.

Since I was setup to entertain the sponsors, Scott and I were allowed a little VIP treatment to see the track before the race (and before the general public was allowed in the speedway). He posted several of those pictures on his Flickr page and his blog. He took the picture of Pit Row, above!

Not sure what made me see a square jaw on this fellow, now that I can compare him with his photo. I know the sun affected me several times throughout the day. Oh well!

I recently had a client, who collects caricatures, call me and request an engagement digital caricature to propose to his soon wife-to-be! This was a quick turn-around, but he loved my results!
I really enjoyed this design!

This is a quick 10 minute pencil sketch of Palin. I hope to get back to her and digitally enhance her into a nice digital cartoon.

Before drawing and entertaining for Google on their campus in CA, I designed themes for my client’s approval. Here are 2 samples (Quick 5 minutes) with my designed themes. Each were designed for both male and female.

Something for his office and patients.

I had many calls for orders in these past 2 weeks. Surprisingly, I refused to do some major designs, because of the idea in relation to my style and my ways of designing my cartoons.
At times, I feel bad about declining work, and I did with one client asking me to do a big project. My husband made a bet with me that I will receive another job in 3 days. He won the bet!
I designed a last minute cartoon (4 person) for a client who needed this design ASAP!
Thankfully we have digital today to be able to deliver an E-file and have the client take it to the printers within a day of design. And not to mention that with an e-file, minor changes can be made at the last minute.

My client was very pleased with this design and quoted,
“What an awesome sight to see in my email this morning at work! My wife and I love it! You have certainly captured the essence of these three women…and the bus is awesome with the TRiO logo!”

I made time to fire upon another artist on the NCN forum. (Fire meaning draw,cartoon exaggerate, doodle, etc.)
