Live Digital House Party
Posted on February 14, 2010
It seems that things worked out perfectly this weekend. Not only did the snow fall early in the week so traffic was a breeze, but I had the great opportunity to bring my Live Digital Caricatures to what looks to be a new trend: distinguished house parties.
This party happened to be her twelfth birthday and everyone hung around watching me drawing on the Cintiq and the extra iMac screen.
I could continue about how much fun it was to be invited into this wonderful family’s home and be a guest of honor for a few hours. But I think pictures speak louder than words, so get ready for an onslaught!
First, here is a digital cartoon of the family, including their pet dogs.

After all girls were drawn into their theme choice, all 9 girls (one girl missing in photo) were put into one group drawing as a special gift for the birthday person to have for keeps! Happy Birthday Cela!

Update: My client left a comment;
I can’t say enough good things about Angie. She arrived over an hour early, she set up in small quaters and accomdated all of the kids at our daughter’s party. I knew we made the right decision when Angie was surrounded by 10 twelve year old girls waiting for their turn and she was just so nice to each one. She made each girl feel like they were the only one in the room.
Junior Idol Show!
Posted on February 3, 2009
Below is a poster I quickly designed (yes, it was and is meant to be bubblegum-ish) for the new Junior Idol show which starts tonight!
I will be “Judge Jordan” again, along with 2 other wonderful judges, (Jeff Buchanan and Kim Seibert) for the next 4 weeks, every Tuesday night.
As I expected with young talent, we have a count of 66 contestants trying out this evening.
Look out! It’s going to be one loooong night!
My husband Scott, (ALSO an EXCELLENT MC), will be running the show.
The winner receives a Special Caricature Package designed by me, along with a $1000 shopping spree, Regis Makeover and Free BonTon gift..

Wine, Dine, and Digital Pen Lines!
Posted on November 2, 2008
Drawing those lines on my Cintiq again last night! And as the title suggests, it was for a company dinner at a winery in the upscale suburbs of Philadelphia.
I had the great opportunity last night to entertain another company dinner with my Live Digital Caricatures.
This was a very fun job, not only because of the great employees who sat in my ‘hot seat,’ but also because two other artists were hired for the same event. Bob and Anthe were both hired to do their easel drawings while I did my live digital, and we had some great subjects, as you can see in the pictures of people I drew, below!
I also created a custom theme for them. Their dinner theme was Thanksgiving and so I made a few different Thanksgiving backgrounds to go with that. My favorite design that I created was the Macy’s Day Parade balloons! And the funny thing was, this was one of the more requested backgrounds of the night, at least from the guys!
I can’t wait to draw these guests again at their next event! Though I would have loved to have gone to the national caricature convention this week, I enjoy the smiles and laughs at these events just as much! To everyone who was able to make time for the convention this year, have a GREAT week! Wish I was there!
By the way, good luck in the speed competition, Joe!
