Insuring/Ensuring a Fun Morning with Caricatures!
Posted on November 13, 2009
I spent 2 delightful mornings with an Insurance company to entertain and draw my fun comedy cartoons for many of their guests. As I started to push the edge a bit with my comical cartoon side, I began to notice how many of the guests surrounded me to watch and see how I draw my guests into my fun style.
I couldn’t believe the applause and laughter as I showed the drawing to the individuals, couples and groups being sketched.
THIS is what makes me love and enjoy my job so much! Thank you Don and Mike!
Corporate Party Caricatures!

Penn’s Peak is such a very nice and enormous place that look’s over the valley of Jim Thorpe, Pa. I have been to this place a few times to see well-known comedians and other big shows, or just to eat at their restaurant and see the great overlook. I love the building and wooded decks throughout. You can see the view below that shows the stage from the balcony.
I was invited to draw for quite a number of hours for a major corporation. I was placed on the balcony for all guests to come upstairs and have a fun cartoon, along with a chance to sing karaoke in a room down the hall from me. Other entertainment included a stage show magician, a slide show presentation, and professional DJ.
I had many of the guests comment about my art being exciting to watch and that they love the fact that my style is cartoony.

The Chateau

This was an upscale event for a small company holiday party and I was honored to be a part of their entertainment for the evening.
After I entertained the party and drew a crowd, I was invited to eat with the guests and they were serving Indian food!
I LOVE Indian food, especially curry! Yum!
I only had a chance to take these few photos until my batteries went dead, but I had to take a photo of the place, which reminded me a little of “Gone with the Wind.” lol!
Enjoy!

Live Digital Caricatures and Cartoons at Google!!!
Posted on August 23, 2008
Well, we just got back from Google! Scott and I were flown out to Google for my Live Digital Caricatures.
After setting up, we snapped a few pictures and talked with the other caricature artist, Doug, while enjoying the weather and coffee (I think Scott enjoyed the coffee a bit more than I did!) Once the crowd started to arrive, I powered back up and was off to work! Doug and I knew it would be a busy evening. We were told there would be around 7,000 attending!
During the gig, Scott also took some pictures of the event.
It was a great gig and we both were very thankful for Google flying us and hiring us for this gig. The client really loved my cartoon style and custom theme I designed for them. Between that and the digital setup, it was a perfect match.
The California weather was very nice for the majority of the day. As the evening crept up, the temperature sank and the breeze picked up a little, so I had to throw on a jacket!
We setup my 21″ Cintiq to the 60″ plasma display for the crowd to watch. So many of their designers kept asking about the Cintiq. As Scott and I discussed it with them, I think we sold many of them into buying one of their own!
After the gig, and catching a night of rest at the hotel, we spent some time taking in San Francisco. Scott posted several of the San Francisco pictures on his Flickr page along with the pictures below.
By the way, the astute of you may have noticed the design on the t-shirts that the Google employees had on matched the caricature I did in the last post before leaving for the gig. That color gradient grid was part of their ‘theme’ and is included on the poster in front of my digital setup.
