From the plane back to the US, I dabbled out a few celebs from a mag (bottom) and decided to digitize one (Winehouse) tonight. I’m sorry to say that I’m not very fond of her voice tone and style. I never did lean towards the hoarsey voice style singing of Macy Gray, either, and find the two singers are very similar. But that’s just me. *grin* I lean towards the sweet & pure strong voices of singers like McLachlan, McBride, Brightman, along with the top soul singers, Aguilera, Aretha, Whitney, and many more!
My other is an attempt at Reese Witherspoon. I find her a hard person to draw, but I didn’t give up, for I need to face my challenges! I wanted to focus on her chin more than her famous forehead.

I would like to point out the positive! Please Read!
“A year that started out in near disaster for the Bush Administration has concluded in poignant victory. The quagmire narrative was defeated. Many more battles and challenges lie ahead in Iraq, of course. All but the most diehard partisans, even the New York Times, now acknowledge that some success has been accomplished. There is a chance that Benazir Bhutto’s death may reverse course. George Bush’s last year in office promises to be eventful.”

Many answers chose PINK! Thank you!
Which color do you prefer? Even though I like the pink, I prefer the blue (my first choice) Scott and JT voted for blue, as well!

Bush stands alone! I plan to work on my Bush-300 scene (below on blog) and brush it up some more. Even though many knew my Ted Kennedy likeness, a selected few said he is more pumpkin (round) head! Not bad for pushing a cartoon scene out in 2 evenings! The cartoon WILL return!

Tonight, I’m currently working on Jennifer (Dr Cameron on House), an image I designed and keep returning to work on the details. Here is the beginning of my draft.

What can I say, but I have a passion about drawing cartoons and my husband encouraged my involvement into politics! After seeing the movie 300, Scott conjured up this political scene idea, and I illustrated it! (Click on the drawing to see it at full size!)
To read Scott’s related topic to our cartoon illustration, either click on his name on right side of my blog, or go to http://scottrsullivan.blogspot.com/ Enjoy!

Boy! I have MUCH to learn! As anal as I can be with my work, I also need to learn to loosen up! Not that I haven’t been sketchy, but never have I finished a drawing in a sketchy format to show! Like my newest blog art visitor, Pag….he does a lot of scribbling and can actually create some really neat sketches. (Remember? My eyes are always open!!) I always felt that sketches, especially mine, need to be cleaned up, but I guess, at times, some are better left alone! Strangest thing, but Pag wants me to teach him to clean up and I would like him to teach me to scribble! Ha Ha! Last night, as my husband popped in the DVD movie, “Intolerable Cruelty”(Great Funny movie, btw, and I love Clooney), I decided to scribble out a Clooney on my Cintiq tablet, AS THE MOVIE WAS PLAYING! I would enjoy playing with this sketch some more, but I (& hub) believe I captured his character in the movie (not so sure about the neck/body yet…will have to watch movie again or clips)! I had fun with scribbling in digital! If I find the time, maybe I can sketch some more with this Clooney and hand it in at NCN for a studio piece! I failed to do any studio piece, for I’m always WAY too busy working on gift caricatures for clients, and having a…uh-hem real job!
The NCN convention is just around the corner,(This Sunday) so I’m going to keep my eyes open and learn much more this year from EVERYONE!!! This CON will be exciting and I’m really looking forward to this!LOOK OUT, here we come!
