It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia!

Posted on March 6, 2010

Today was Kaleb’s first birthday and his celebration was in the northern part of Philadelphia. The event was held at a huge gymnasium and my client brought bouncing fun into the room. A balloon bounce, the cookie monster character and my funny cartoons to add character were the highlight of Kaleb’s special day. Happy Birthday!
Here a few photos from Kaleb’s sunny event!
(Now back to my drawing tablet- grin!)

Look who’s “facing” a Canadian newspaper?

Do you notice anyone familiar in this RECENT newspaper article?

What a great time I had with professional Canadian artist Kelly Gannon at the ISCA caricature convention held in Sandusky, Ohio last November.

House Doctors Late Holiday Party!

Posted on February 28, 2010

Last night I had the pleasure of being the entertainment for a small holiday house party located near Hershey, Pa. This lovely house warming party brought in well dressed caterers (loved their crab cakes), delightful Christmas music, along with fun party guests, with many being doctors and architect as a profession.

I had so much fun entertaining for 3 hours and having nice conversation with the guests as I drew them into my fun color caricature style. I even drew a christmas tree with presents for display and my client’s children from photos, since few were in college or away and could not make the party. My client was thrilled that I could do this for her.
Here are few party guests to view!

Caricatures to help the Caring Soles- “Haiti!”

Posted on February 28, 2010

I haven’t had much time to post on my blog since I have had quite a busy week with booking many events along with quite a few orders coming in for digital caricatures (personal and commercial). My week coming up looks even crazier than last week and that’s a good thing, because I like to keep busy!

For the past 8 years, I have been a part of all the idol shows at our local mall, (junior and teen shows). I have taken part in performing at some of the shows (hip hop dancing, too-lol), as well as being a judge for all the contestants. It’s never easy being a judge, for there are SOOO many good singers and all it takes is a bad choice song or just being shy or unprepared on your performance and song that causes a contestant not to make it to the next round. I sure hope to see many of these contestants return!

Every Tuesday at 6pm is our Junior Idol Show at the Schuylkill Mall at center court. This week you will see many talented contestants like Marissa Arce, Emily Fanelli, Maura Gownley, Reiley Lonergan, Dakota McGeehan, and Brook Unger.

This year I decided to bring my caricatures to the mall as part of a donation to the Caring Soles of Haiti. I will be at each show (we have 3 shows left) from 3:30 to 5:30 to draw any individual who would like a B&W caricature and help donate to the people in Haiti. Each person is $10 to have a fun B&W, head and shoulder cartoon drawing, created by me. Please join all the fun with me this Tuesday!

Here are a few photos from contestants and family. Thank you for donating!
