iPad Caricatures at the iPad World Premiere
Posted on April 3, 2010
I had an awesome opportunity this morning. For those who haven’t heard, this morning was the world premiere release of Apple’s iPad.
Scott and I arrived at the Apple Store to purchase our iPad early this morning. After activating it and syncing it to Scott’s Macbook Pro, I began my first iPad Caricature.
As far as we know, and as far as the store manager knew, since we started the caricatures so early, I was the first person in the world to draw iPad Caricatures! Woohoo!
It was an interesting event. Though I knew the program from using it on the iPhone, I had never touched an iPad until moments before beginning to draw. (And technically, due to Apple’s security, none of the store employees had even seen or touched one until that morning, either!)
This is going to be an exciting new genre and I’m thrilled that this first introduction of iPad Caricatures went so well. Those who were drawn were each emailed their photos instantly.
Check out the photos below of some of the samples. Just keep in mind, this was my first day with this new touch computer! I’ll be posting more pictures of these events on a new site I created just for this: http://iPadCaricatures.com
