Business “Brain Freeze” Design
Posted on April 27, 2009
I recently designed a 3 person ice cream commercial design.
My client wanted each one to look similar to her kids, but in a cartoon and “fun” way.
I really had loads of fun creating this design!

Fun in the Sun Day!
Posted on April 25, 2009
Scott and I are trying to wrap up 3 huge business projects this weekend and we will be blogging about this down the road.
But today we stepped out for the good part of the day for some house chores and fun under the sun. It was a sweaty day for raking/burning leaves, opening my pool, putting our famous bungy trampoline together and a cookout!
My son came home from Penn State to join the sweaty fun and we snapped a few pics!
I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!

Yes, we have 2 trees in perfect position from one another to fit a trampoline in between and tie a bungy rope then hook it to a gymnastic harness . I came up with the idea years ago and this has been the biggest attraction at many of my past summer parties.

DaVinci He is Not…

I preface this with that title… “DaVinci he is not” because he even brags how I’m the one with the talent, not him. Yet my husband, Scott, finds it hard to not draw the occasional caricature after watching me draw so much.
Well, he leaned over my shoulder just awhile ago while I was in Painter and, with a new canvas, drew this 3 minute cartoon of me. I’ve got to admit, its not bad! Now he’s going to get a big head! *grin*

Company Gift for Boss in Digital
Posted on April 19, 2009
A client recently contacted me to create a gift for their retiring boss. He is well known in his company for being a multi-tasker, so i created this design using Painter and Photoshop in conjunction with each other.
The Photoshop filters helped with the effect in the arms. First I created a quick mask and used the directional blur. Then I created another layer for the background and created a unique background with a custom brush, then used the zoom blur (a subset of the radial blur tool) to create the wirlwind effect by such an active subject.
