Winner Junior Idol Show!
Posted on March 9, 2009
This was the last week to announce the winner of our first Junior Idol Show. All 3 of these contestants had wonderful vocals and a great vocal tones, but only one is a winner. I helped judge the competition and I donate a Caricature package (Framed and matted design, T-shirt, mouse pad and E-file) I thought all 3 deserved a cartoon gift, so I “made” the time to create a cartoon that fit each of their character and performance.
Winner: Julia who has a fabulous soulful sound and is very original. She writes her own music and plays keyboard!

Noah who has a “pure” tone to his voice and one who can sing, so far anything, rock/pop/country/New Wave, you name it!

and Maura: who has a mature voice of a woman at age 13. Watching and hearing her tells me she will go very far!

Congrats to all 3! You are all winners!

Corporate Party Caricatures!

Penn’s Peak is such a very nice and enormous place that look’s over the valley of Jim Thorpe, Pa. I have been to this place a few times to see well-known comedians and other big shows, or just to eat at their restaurant and see the great overlook. I love the building and wooded decks throughout. You can see the view below that shows the stage from the balcony.
I was invited to draw for quite a number of hours for a major corporation. I was placed on the balcony for all guests to come upstairs and have a fun cartoon, along with a chance to sing karaoke in a room down the hall from me. Other entertainment included a stage show magician, a slide show presentation, and professional DJ.
I had many of the guests comment about my art being exciting to watch and that they love the fact that my style is cartoony.

Live Digital – Laura’s Bat Mitzvah

Laura’s theme was “Under The Sea” so I designed 3 themes for this event, riding a dolphin, scuba diving, and of course a mermaid.
This event had all kinds of top of the line entertainment, my Live Digital Caricatures(with screen/projector), Photos taken with different fun backdrops, making a personal flip book (even I got one – thanks Jenna), and a professional DJ with sea theme panels (and his dancers).
There was a great video of the sea with tropical fish swimming on the wall AND the fantastic sea decorations throughout the whole event, designed by Lynn. Unbelievable!
For certain engagements, Scott helps out when he can on the tech side, but I have been doing more and more events on my own since my tech experience has been growing. I was on my own and I still knocked out 10, (IN COLOR), an hour and managed to take these photos below.

Here are photos of my flip book! They took a 7 second video of me with one of there props.
