Carat for a Carat-cature!

Posted on March 29, 2009

In order to have a color carat-cature, customers had to spend some money on a carat or 2. This event was successful and I had fun with creating a few characters!
I was even given some wonderful Kay Jeweler gifts. Thanks Barb!

Here’s a peek at a few:

Philly Convention and Strolling Cartoon Entertainment!

Posted on March 24, 2009

4,500 people attended a 50’s, 60’s, 70’s bandstand theme at the Philly Convention last night.
Roaming about were great characters like Rocky, Austin Powers, The Village People, Sonny and Cher, and the whole place was decorated with stations from that year.
The band played on a huge stage with cartoon videos, along with videos of the event, projecting behind them.

I strapped on my homemade strolling easel board and approached my first victim (lol) in the crowd.
As I quickly sketched this person, the next one lined up excited for a cartoon-likeness drawing.
And there I stood as the my line grew long. No need to stroll. The crowd came to me and I was happy to create a fun cartoon for them.
Strolling and drawing is not easy, but once you get the knack for it, the hours can go by very quickly.

Here are my few photos that I was able to snap for the evening.

Promotional Advertising for an event!

Posted on March 22, 2009

I have a client bringing in my cartoon talent for a special sale event this Saturday. It’s amazing how many ways a professional caricaturist can be hired for an event!

Here is my design for part of their marketing to help promote this event and bring people in for the store’s special sale.

Delilah’s Birthday Party!

Posted on March 21, 2009

Happy Birthday Delilah!

She was sweet, loving, polite, curteous, and thankful, Delilah had all the great signs of a well behaved little girl that you would love to take home with you.

I was very glad to be a part of Delilah’s special day. Thanks mom! :)
