post 80th Birthday and Digital Fun!

October 12th, 2008

Friday night, I had the wonderful opportunity to travel back into Philly for another Live Digital Cartoon event.

We were hired to entertain for an 80th birthday party which was held the very classy Rae’s Restaurant, right off 30th street. This is a brand new skyscraper, built within the past two years, and its spacious main lobby allowed me to project the caricatures for the entire restaurant and lobby to see!

The family was in great spirits and loved seeing each other being turned into cartoons. We all had a memorable evening and I hope to draw at Rae’s again.

Enjoy!

I had to warm up by drawing Scott!

I’m ba-ba-beeezee as a ba-ba-beeeeaver!
I designed this little character for fun, but he may become useful with a few of my future ideas. :)

post Penn State Caricatures!

October 5th, 2008

I believe this is the 5th year that Mugs and Magic has entertained for Penn State’s Community Day.
I had a few of the same people tell me that each year they look forward to receiving one of my caricatures so they can collect and compare each year I draw them.
Here are a few of the fun, fun, fun guests:

This girl had one green and one brown eye. I just had to color them for her.

post Mystery woman!

October 2nd, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Angie @ 8:40 pm

I’ve been quite busy on some projects, along with some personal studio work that I am taking my time to accomplish.
In the meantime, I managed to make time to visit family, a wonderful person I call mom.
My mother’s mother-in-law (Leona) died 2 months ago and she shared a photo that I had never seen of her and Leona. My mother believes that she was in her 40’s in this photo.
Wow! I was stunned! We should remember to stop and smell the roses through our life. Sometimes we miss beautiful things and people right in front of us.
Love you mom!

post Wheeling to the 80’s!

September 26th, 2008

This event was very special. After I drew a caricature of a senior guest, the guest, or host, would show it to all the seniors surrounding me and I would receive an applaud. Their appreciation made my job well worth it!

post More Live Digital Cartoons!

September 26th, 2008

Another fun evening with my Live digital Caricatures and Cartoons with Philly theme.
A great thank you to all the people who helped organize and decorate so quickly
for the opening of this event.

Scott took this photo of me before I began.

With a Philly theme:

Here are some of the stages when a guest looks at their cartoon image for the first time.
