Boy! I have MUCH to learn! As anal as I can be with my work, I also need to learn to loosen up! Not that I haven’t been sketchy, but never have I finished a drawing in a sketchy format to show!
Like my newest blog art visitor, Pag….he does a lot of scribbling and can actually create some really neat sketches. (Remember? My eyes are always open!!) I always felt that sketches, especially mine, need to be cleaned up, but I guess, at times, some are better left alone! Strangest thing, but Pag wants me to teach him to clean up and I would like him to teach me to scribble! Ha Ha!
Last night, as my husband popped in the DVD movie, “Intolerable Cruelty”(Great Funny movie, btw, and I love Clooney), I decided to scribble out a Clooney on my Cintiq tablet, AS THE MOVIE WAS PLAYING! I would enjoy playing with this sketch some more, but I (& hub) believe I captured his character in the movie (not so sure about the neck/body yet…will have to watch movie again or clips)! I had fun with scribbling in digital!
If I find the time, maybe I can sketch some more with this Clooney and hand it in at NCN for a studio piece! I failed to do any studio piece, for I’m always WAY too busy working on gift caricatures for clients, and having a…uh-hem real job!

The NCN convention is just around the corner,(This Sunday) so I’m going to keep my eyes open and learn much more this year from EVERYONE!!! This CON will be exciting and I’m really looking forward to this!LOOK OUT, here we come!

Other than drawing caricatures, I fell in love with other forms of art and that is “Dance!” I took many forms of dance for more than 20 years of my life, performed, won many awards and actually taught, and owned a studio for a short time! This past summer, I was involved with an idol show, where I was asked to perform,(sing) so I came up with an idea to have hip hop dancers with me! It was a BIG hit and I actually learned some hip hop for the performance routine. Now, I’m addicted, so I joined Hip Hop classes, which started this fall. This newest dance craze, is the only dance I have not learned throughout my years of dance and I thought it was time to get back in dance shape! I miss it!
I took my first class and BOY! it was NOT easy, but fun!!! I just hope I can keep up with the class!

I had to purchase the funky hip hop shoes, too! I find Hip Hop to be a great outlet for me, other than keeping up with my everyday, FT engineering job and Gift caricature orders and phone calls for gigs!

I really love some of these that I did this weekend and so did my victims! LOL!

Well, I finally made time to finish a color digital in Photoshop! Earlier in blog, I showed you this same design in a sketch with me and my brothers, so I decided to finish a new me for business. Since I seem to change my appearance often, (with cutting or dying hair, new glasses), I try to keep up with a cartoon that will match!

Here are the few photos I had taken from my live gig, yesterday! I’m quite happy with these latest dwgs, even though I was working on lack of sleep on a hot day!

I had much fun on Friday night singing Karaoke with my nephew Brandon! He is a GREAT kid,living in DE and married now! I can’t believe how close we come to look-alikes, but yet have some differences! He definitely has my eyes!
I couldn’t help but pull out the ole pad and DOODLE a cartoon of him, while we were sitting in a dark bar! This photo of him was taken AFTER I doodled him so I can continue to work on a digital for him!

I worked with my good art friends Em and Miriam yesterday. I happened to like these cartoons I designed that day. There is one I drew of a cute, young girl, but I cannot post this. Her mother called and told me I cannot put this in public eye (internet), because she thinks her daughter is striking! Whatever! Trust me…it was a good one!

I did this cartoon of 3 last night and they were excited over it and want to put it in their boat house, where they race boats, in England!
(This was a private school event!)
